The goal of Glintt Academy is to promote the training of young graduates in terms of work and provide the best and most current tools in the area of health technology. After the success of the first edition in 2016, with 950 applications received, Glintt is now open to receiving applications for the second edition which kicks off in September. The Academy will run for 9 months and aims to recruit young people in the areas of Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Systems, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Management and Economics, Marketing and Communication.
Glintt is quoted on the Stock Exchange, making it one of the most interesting companies in Portugal to work for, not just due to the nature of the technology that it develops, but also due to the scale and scope that it covers. Thus, those interested in applying to this program can access a specific platform and submit their application: http://academia.glintt.com. After submission, the applicant must send a video pitch. They will then have a telephone interview and a behavioural and technical interview. The last phase will be the onboarding.
After an initial phase in which the trainees are immersed into the Glintt culture, team and processes, the young graduates will be integrated into the following Vertical Schools: Business Consulting –provision of business consulting, strategic and operational services; Products (Software Solutions) - management, architecture and software development for different market segments; IT Consulting – provision of services and management of technological and application consulting projects.
Over the 9 months, each School has specific content and assessment criteria, with training directed to the role and individual development plans for each trainee. Because Glintt is a company with national coverage, the trainees are integrated in one of the following geographies: Lisbon (Sintra), Coimbra and Porto.
The training "packs" that the trainees will complete at the Academy include Innovation and Strategy, Marketing and Business Management, Design Thinking, Outsystems, SAP, NET or JAVA and also Leadership and Team Leadership.
Involvement, effort, curiosity and willingness to learn, focused and able to think of new solutions and with a willingness to adjust to the teams are some of the personal requirements for joining this Glintt Academy 2017.
In 2016 Glintt received 950 applications, of which 75 young people were selected for an internship. Of these 75 internships, 74 will become part of the Glintt staff.
